We Got You! Cybersecurity for Nonprofits

Cybersecurity (CS) is a threat to everyone – individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and especially nonprofits. Any organization that keeps a database of donors, volunteers, and constituents, is at risk… and the database NEEDs to be protected. There is nothing worse than to lose donors and funding because of a security breach or perceived lack of security.

Therefore, The Philantrepreneur Foundation (TPF), known for its nonprofit training and educational platforms, is excited to partnered with the Vanderson Cyber Group (VCG) to offer comprehensive training and services to ensure each organization is protected, staff is trained, and there is ongoing risk assessment and vulnerability monitoring.  This goes beyond malware – we deal with the human elements of cybersecurity.  We Got You!

Powerful Partnership.

This partnership aligns TPF’s mission to Build Nonprofit Capacity Through Education, Awareness and Resources with VCG’s mission of Raising Cyber Security Awareness by Providing Education, And Resources. Hmm, does that match or what.

Two leaders combining forces.

Two dynamic leaders make this partnership powerful. First it combines the long-term work in the nonprofit sector that TPF and its founder Dr. Victoria Boyd bring to the project. Dr. Boyd is a trainer, consultant and 5 time author. With over 20 years’ experience in development, training, management, leadership, and marketing, she brings extensive expertise to address the specific needs of nonprofit organizations.

VCG was founded in 1984 by Mack Jackson, Jr. a cybersecurity speaker, business consultant, and author brings increased awareness to his audiences and communicates the importance of security measures in protecting your business. His consulting firm raises awareness and helps businesses develop and implement policies around security. He has a team of consultants with a combined 50 years of experience in IT security.

Collectively our goal is to raise cybersecurity literacy among nonprofit organizations and provide professional services such as live and virtual training programs, policy development, phishing simulations, and virtual consultations. VCG and TPF will have resources such as software technology, law related entities, and cyber insurance business partners.

What’s on the Horizon – Training & Support: Done for you.

This project will focus on the needs within the nonprofit sector. We will custom design products specifically for an organization or offer on demand formats.  We will provide a wide range of educational training and tools, build awareness of specific CS threats toward nonprofits, and be a valued resource to find ongoing support.

Why You Need it

Working with nonprofits we understand their issues are unique. Having a security breach isn’t the only reason organizations need to demonstrate their due diligence externally and internally. Demonstrating that you value cybersecurity adds to your credibility and reputation. It impacts potential donors and supporters view and opinion of the organization. You build relationships based on the impact you have as an organization, and that extends into your operations.

This is why the TPF – VCG partnership will be so valuable. The organization and Board can turn to us for the support and resources needed.
